ROSALYN LACKEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Entrants must have been a past participant of the Burnet County Area Fair (BCAF), by entering items to be judged or by volunteering at the Fair. BCAF is typically held the second weekend in June and is not affiliated with the Burnet County Rodeo or Livestock Show.

The Rosalyn Lackey Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to any high school graduating senior in Burnet County, whether attending public, private, or home school.  The scholarship may be used for any post secondary training in Texas, i.e. university, community college, or trade school.

Qualified Applicants:

This scholarship is open to all people without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, or veteran status.

  • Applicants must have been a past participant of the Burnet County AreaFair (BCAF), by entering items to be judged or by volunteering at the Fair. Participating in the Burnet County Rodeo or Livestock Show doesn't count.

  • Applicants must be a current graduating senior in any Burnet County public, private, or home school

  • Applicants must have primary residence in Burnet County

  • Currently accepted to an accredited university, community college, technical school or higher education institution

  • Academic achievement, activities and leadership in both school and community

  • Completion of the application process

Who Are We

Burnet County Area Fair is a presentation of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension of Burnet County, Highland Lakes Master Gardener Association, the Texas Extension Education Association of Burnet County, the Highland Lakes Quilt Guild, and the Bluebonnet Button Club.

The Burnet County Rodeo (held in May) is a separate entity including the Fair Grounds and Building. Questions about the Rodeo or renting the building need to be directed to: Cody Orman - 830-798-4018.
